Swarna Akarshana Bhairava

Shri Swarna Akarshana Bhairava is one of the many forms of Lord Bhairava. As we all know, Lord Bhairava is the fierce form of Lord Shiva who showers immense wealth and prosperity upon his devotees.

Swarnakarshana literally means “easily attracted”. Swarna Akarshana Bhairava is the peaceful (saantha-swaroopi) form of Bhairava. He loves to adorn silk clothes, beautiful ornaments, and a crown. On his right hand, he will be holding a gold kalash. The consort of Lord Swarna Akarshana Bhairava is called Ajamila and she is seated on his left thigh. Whereas on his left hand, he will be holding a damru (uduku) which is also held by Lord Shiva himself. His hair is of golden hue and has a crescent on his head. He also holds a lotus flower and a Amutha Kalash (pot of gold/nectar) on his right hand.

Apart from that, one may also pray to Swarna Akarshana Bhairava on Amavasya (Black Moon Day) and Purnima / Pournami (Full Moon Day) as well as on Arudra Nakshatra days.

ōṁ asya śrī svarṇākarṣaṇa bhairava stōtra mahāmantrasya brahma r̥ṣiḥ anuṣṭup chandaḥ śrī svarṇākarṣaṇa bhairavō dēvatā hrīṁ bījaṁ klīṁ śaktiḥ saḥ kīlakaṁ mama dāridrya nāśārthē pāṭhē viniyōgaḥ ||

r̥ṣyādi nyāsaḥ |
brahmarṣayē namaḥ śirasi |
anuṣṭup chandasē namaḥ mukhē |
svarṇākarṣaṇa bhairavāya namaḥ hr̥di |
hrīṁ bījāya namaḥ guhyē |
klīṁ śaktayē namaḥ pādayōḥ |
saḥ kīlakāya namaḥ nābhau |
viniyōgāya namaḥ sarvāṅgē |
hrāṁ hrīṁ hrūṁ iti kara ṣaḍaṅganyāsaḥ ||

pārijātadruma kāntārē sthitē māṇikyamaṇḍapē |

gāṅgēya pātraṁ ḍamarūṁ triśūlaṁ

dēvyāyutaṁ tapta suvarṇavarṇa

dvibhujāya namastubhyaṁ bhujatrayasuśōbhinē |

pūrṇacandrapratīkāśavadanāmbhōjaśōbhinē |
namastē svarṇarūpāya svarṇālaṅkāraśōbhinē || 24 ||

namaḥ svarṇākarṣaṇāya svarṇābhāya ca tē namaḥ |
namastē svarṇakaṇṭhāya svarṇālaṅkāradhāriṇē || 25 ||

svarṇasiṁhāsanasthāya svarṇapādāya tē namaḥ |
namaḥ svarṇābhapārāya svarṇakāñcīsuśōbhinē || 26 ||

namastē svarṇajaṅghāya bhaktakāmadughātmanē |
namastē svarṇabhaktānāṁ kalpavr̥kṣasvarūpiṇē || 27 ||

cintāmaṇisvarūpāya namō brahmādisēvinē |
kalpadrumādhaḥsaṁsthāya bahusvarṇapradāyinē || 28 ||

namō hēmādikarṣāya bhairavāya namō namaḥ |
stavēnānēna santuṣṭō bhava lōkēśabhairava || 29 ||

paśya māṁ karuṇāviṣṭa śaraṇāgatavatsala |
śrībhairava dhanādhyakṣa śaraṇaṁ tvāṁ bhajāmyaham |
prasīda sakalān kāmān prayaccha mama sarvadā || 30 ||

– phalaśrutiḥ –

śrīmahābhairavasyēdaṁ stōtrasūktaṁ sudurlabham |
mantrātmakaṁ mahāpuṇyaṁ sarvaiśvaryapradāyakam || 31 ||

yaḥ paṭhēnnityamēkāgraṁ pātakaiḥ sa vimucyatē |
labhatē cāmalālakṣmīmaṣṭaiśvaryamavāpnuyāt || 32 ||

cintāmaṇimavāpnōti dhēnu kalpataruṁ dhr̥vam |
svarṇarāśimavāpnōti siddhimēva sa mānavaḥ || 33 ||

sandhyāyāṁ yaḥ paṭhēt stōtraṁ daśāvr̥tyā narōttamaiḥ |
svapnē śrībhairavastasya sākṣādbhūtvā jagadguruḥ || 34 ||

svarṇarāśi dadātyēva tat-kṣaṇānnāsti saṁśayaḥ |
sarvadā yaḥ paṭhēt stōtraṁ bhairavasya mahātmanaḥ || 35 ||

lōkatrayaṁ vaśīkuryādacalāṁ śriyamavāpnuyāt |
na bhayaṁ labhatē kvāpi vighnabhūtādisambhava || 36 ||

mriyantē śatravō:’vaśyamalakṣmīnāśamāpnuyāt |
akṣayaṁ labhatē saukhyaṁ sarvadā mānavōttamaḥ || 37 ||

aṣṭapañcāśatāṇaḍhyō mantrarājaḥ prakīrtitaḥ |
dāridryaduḥkhaśamanaṁ svarṇākarṣaṇakārakaḥ || 38 ||

ya yēna sañjapēt dhīmān stōtraṁ vā prapaṭhēt sadā |
mahābhairavasāyujyaṁ svāntakālē bhavēddhruvam || 39 ||

iti rudrayāmala tantrē svarṇākarṣaṇa bhairava stōtram ||
